Ping an IP interface

Unisphere supports the option to ping an IP interface.

About this task

  • Front-end support for 25 GbE iSCSi enables users to deploy 25 GbE networks as a data center network backbone. This feature makes iSCSi a real option for future growth and scalability as throughput demands increase and enables users to implement a lower-cost SAN for converged and virtualized workloads. iSCSI benefits include the ability to provision virtual machines with iSCSI storage directly through virtual switches, bypassing the management operating system completely and reducing I/O path overhead.
  • 25 GbE SRDF is also supported. This option reduces CAPEX (fewer ports and cables) and reduces OPEX (lower power, cooling, and smaller footprint requirements).
